The Harvard Undergraduate Council, the Harvard Graduate Council, and the Phillip Brooks House Association have partnered to coordinate the first University-wide Day of Service on Sept. 29.

The Day of Service at Harvard University will foster collaboration across the University in a collective effort to promote civic engagement and social awareness through meaningful service projects. By addressing a range of community needs, the Day of Service will also foster ongoing partnerships between Harvard students and service organizations in Boston and Cambridge.

The goals of the Day of Service include (1) making tangible contributions to civic and nonprofit organizations in Cambridge and Boston (2) strengthening ties between the University and the local community (3) promoting awareness of existing opportunities for on-going service, and (4) building community across the various Schools at Harvard.
