Earth fair, Harvard flair
The Undergraduate Environmental Action Committee is sponsoring a free Earth Day Fair on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Winthrop House Courtyard (between Memorial Drive and Mill Street). More than a dozen student groups and visiting organizations will be represented. The fair will feature free food and prizes from environmentally conscious sponsors, and complimentary tune-ups from Quad Bikes, Harvard’s nonprofit bicycle shop and resource.
EALS accepting Yong K. Kim prize submissions
The East Asian Legal Studies (EALS) program of Harvard Law School (HLS) is now accepting submissions for the Yong K. Kim ’95 Memorial Prize. The prize is awarded to the author of the best paper concerning the law or legal history of the nations and peoples of East Asia or regarding issues of law as it pertains to U.S.-East Asia relations. The winning author will embody Kim’s interest in and enthusiasm for fostering U.S.-East Asian understanding.
Submissions can be written in conjunction with a course, seminar, or independent study project at HLS. The prize includes a cash award and will be announced at Commencement.
Entrants should send two copies of the paper to the EALS office (Pound Hall 426, HLS) by May 5. The author’s name, class, e-mail address, and phone number should be included.
