RMO workshop to cover electronic recordkeeping

Harvard’s Records Management Office (RMO) is offering one of its fall workshops on electronic recordkeeping Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. in Pusey Library. The 45-minute presentation will provide University staff with practical guidance on filing systems, filing rules and procedures, and equipment and supplies, and includes a new presentation on version control and naming conventions.

To register, call the RMO at (617) 495-5961, or visit http://hul.harvard.edu/rmo/resources_01a.shtml. Drinks and snacks will be provided at each session.

‘Marketing Yourself’ info session upcoming

This fall’s remaining “Marketing Yourself for Career Success” information sessions will be held Nov. 16, Dec. 7, and Dec. 21 at the Harvard Information Center in Holyoke Center. Running from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., these sessions will examine the job search and hiring process at Harvard, and the University’s online job bank (http://jobs.harvard.edu/jobs/search_req; HIRES job bank), and will touch on resume writing and interviewing. The sessions are also available online at http://employment.harvard.edu/careers/marketing/careersuccess.shtml.

Holyoke Center exhibit seeks artists who work in building

University employees who work at the Holyoke Center are invited to submit artwork for the sixth annual group exhibit, which goes on display in the center’s exhibition space Dec. 9 (through Jan. 4, 2006). The goal of the exhibit is to celebrate and showcase the artistic talents, creativity, and community of Holyoke Center staff.

Interested artists should contact Holyoke Center events and exhibitions coordinator Deena Anderson at deenaanderson@mindspring.com by Nov. 15.

Please explain which department you work in, and what type of work you would like to exhibit. Though space is limited, photographs, paintings, drawings, masks, and small ceramics and sculptures (that can fit in one of two shallow display cases) will be considered.
