Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending April 18. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

April 14: Vandalism to a window and shutters was reported at 60 Kennedy St. An officer located and apprehended an armed robbery suspect at 20 Oxford St. The Cambridge Police Department (CPD) placed the individual under arrest. Wallets were reported stolen from the Holyoke Center and the New Research Building.

April 15: A Harvard parking permit was reported stolen from a motor vehicle at 101 Dunster St. A purse was reported stolen from the Taubman Center computer lab. HUPD assisted CPD in the search of an indecent assault suspect in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Bow Street. CPD located the suspect and placed the individual under arrest. The victim of the assault was not affiliated with the University.

April 16: At HUPD headquarters, an individual reported a past hit-and-run to their motor vehicle, which was parked in the Holyoke Center garage. A parking gate arm was reported damaged at 180 Longwood Ave.

April 17: An officer was dispatched to Leverett House to take a report of a smashed bay window.

April 18: A purse containing a cell phone and gloves was reported stolen from the Holyoke Center. A nylon bag containing a cell phone was reported stolen from Tosteson Medical Education Center. Officers were dispatched to Kirkland and Oxford Streets on a report of an individual who had witnessed a person on a bicycle inappropriately grab someone and ride off. CPD was notified. All units checked the area with negative results, and no victim could be located. A parking gate arm was reported stolen from Soldiers Field Park garage.

Since April 14, six bicycles and four laptops have been reported stolen. There have been three reports of harassing phone calls, e-mails, or voicemails.
