Police reports
Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending April 11. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.
April 7: A handbag was reported stolen from an unattended backpack at 14 Story St. A threat received over the phone was reported at the Holyoke Center. A wallet was reported stolen from 124 Mt. Auburn. Suspicious e-mails were reported received at Hauser Hall.
April 8: A cup of coins was reported stolen at Areeda Hall. A bicycle was reported stolen from Gund Hall. Graffiti was reported on a wall at Pusey Library. Officers observed two individuals spray-painting a building at the Kennedy School. Officers followed then chased the suspects, who were subdued and placed under arrest after initially resisting.
April 9: An officer spoke with the victim of an apartment rental scam at 20 Prescott St. At Pforzheimer House, an officer observed an individual acting suspiciously around a bicycle rack. Officer stopped and checked the individual for warrants with positive results, then placed the individual under arrest. An officer was dispatched to a river dorm to assist the Cambridge Police Department in taking a report of an indecent assault that occurred the night before.
April 10: A pocketbook was reported stolen from Mather House. A windshield of a motor vehicle was reported broken at 79 N. Harvard St. An MP3 player and cash were reported stolen from Kresge Dining Hall. A vending machine was reported broken into at the Lewis Building.
April 11: Vending machines were broken into at Areeda Hall. A suspicious letter was received at the School of Public Health. Several windows were reported broken at the Blackstone Building.
