Police reports
Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending March 14. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.
March 1: A book valued at $115 was reported stolen from the Spangler Building. Cameras were reported stolen from a secured office at Gund Hall. At 20 Prescott St., an officer took a report of missing funds designated for an apartment rental deposit.
March 2: At Kirkland Street and Francis Avenue, officers assisted in the apprehension of two individuals wanted by the Cambridge Police Department (CPD). A laptop was reported stolen from William James Hall. A wallet was reported stolen from the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC).
March 3: An officer was dispatched to 75 Mt. Auburn St. to take a report of a past vandalism incident. Officer reports a known individual kicked in a door.
March 4: Officers assisted CPD with an arrest at Holyoke and Winthrop streets. Money and a credit card were reported stolen from the MAC. Three wallets were reported stolen from the Museum of Comparative Zoology. A harassing phone call was reported received at Harvard Hillel. A motor vehicle and gate arm were reported damaged at Soldiers Field Park garage. Officers and the Cambridge Fire Department responded to a fire in a trash receptacle at North Hall. The fire was extinguished and no property damage was reported.
March 5: Cash and a credit card were reported stolen from the MAC. The credit card was reportedly used fraudulently.
March 6: Officers were dispatched to assist CPD in the search of a suspect with a knife. Officers checked the area of 30 Holyoke St. with negative results.
March 7: A bicycle that was locked to itself was reported stolen from outside Sanders Theatre. A bicycle was reported vandalized at 45 Bow St. An officer was dispatched to Soldiers Field Park to take a follow-up report of ongoing verbal harassment. Wallets were reported stolen from Fairchild Biochemistry Lab and Lamont Library.
