Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the weeks beginning June 13 and ending July 17. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

June 13: An officer was dispatched to Canaday Hall to take a report of stolen DVDs. Photographs were reported stolen at Loker Commons.

June 14: Officers were dispatched to Soldiers Field Park complex to take a report of a past assault involving two motorists. Handheld portable radios were reported stolen at Memorial Hall.

June 15: An officer was dispatched to Matthews Hall to take a report of stolen appliances. An officer was dispatched to Lowell House to take a report of unauthorized purchases made to an individualís credit card. A license plate was reported stolen at Soldiers Field Park garage.

June 16: An officer was dispatched to the Botanic Gardens to take a report of toys taken from a shed. A stolen motor vehicle report was filed at the Hingham Street lot.

June 18: A glaucoma machine was reported stolen from a motor vehicle at 219 Western Ave.

June 21: An officer was dispatched to 7 Ware St. to take a report of suspicious phone calls received. Officers were dispatched to the bicycle rack at Countway Library to take a report of a suspicious individual. The officers positively checked the individual for warrants and placed the individual under arrest for warrant service.

June 22: Officers were dispatched to assist an individual gain entry to 11 Harvard Yard. The officers arrived, detected a strong odor on the individual, and found a class D substance. The officers placed the individual under arrest for possession of marijuana.

June 23: Vandalism to a window was reported at Rockefeller Hall. An officer was dispatched to Harvard Square to take a report of a past sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing. An ID card was reported stolen at Richards Hall.

June 24: Officers assisted the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) with a warrant arrest at 1 Oxford St.

June 26: Officers were dispatched to 33 Elmwood Ave. on a report of an activated panic alarm. Officers arrived, witnessed an individual trying to gain access to the building, and arrested the individual for attempted burglary and trespassing.

June 27: Graffiti was reported at 641 Huntington Ave. A bicycle seat was reported stolen at Canaday Hall.

June 28: A digital music player was reported stolen at Loker Commons. A backpack was reported stolen at Gund Hall.

June 29: Money from a cash register was reported stolen at the Malkin Athletic Center.

June 30: Damage was reported to a fence at Teele Hall and to the railings of a loading dock at 14 Plympton St.

July 1: Vandalism to a wall was reported at HUPD headquarters.

July 2: An officer was dispatched to Areeda Hall to take a report of an individual calling and threatening to commit a crime. Money was reported stolen at Perkins Hall.

July 6: An officer was dispatched to Canaday Hall to take a report of a past assault. The investigation is ongoing.

July 7: A purse was reported stolen at 124 Mt. Auburn St. A laptop was reported stolen at the Kennedy School.

July 8: Near Apley Court, a suspicious individual was placed under arrest for trespassing and possession of a controlled substance. An officer was dispatched to the Business School lot to take a report of a stolen parking permit. Officers were dispatched to the Dental School to take a report of a threat to commit a crime. A purse was reported stolen from Langdell Hall. Eyeglasses were reported stolen at Austin Hall. Officers were dispatched to 24 Oxford St. on a report of an individual acting suspiciously. A foot pursuit occurred and the officers caught and arrested the individual for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

July 9: A computer was reported stolen at Tosteson Medical Education Center. Food was reported stolen from the kitchen at Armenise Building 1. A group of individuals at 110 Brattle St. stated that they had just been assaulted. CPD was notified and took over the scene. Officers then assisted CPD in locating the suspects. CPD arrested one individual from the incident.

July 11: An officer was dispatched to 188 Longwood Ave. to take a report of a stolen camera and two laptop computers. Officers were dispatched to 10 Storrow Drive to assist Massachusetts State Police with a minor motor vehicle accident.

July 12: A computer was reported stolen at Sever Hall.

July 13: Bicycle parts were reported stolen at the Seely Mudd Building. A snowboard was reported stolen at Quincy House.

July 14: Power tools were reported stolen at the stadium.

July 15: A report of a fraudulent parking permit was filed at Andover Hall. Three laptops were reported stolen at 1 Story St. A Harvard ID card was reported stolen at Weld Hall.

July 16: An officer was dispatched to 219 Western Ave. to take a report of a breaking and entering to a motor vehicle. A laptop was reported stolen at the Taubman Center. A desktop computer and laptop were reported stolen at the Science Center. An officer was dispatched to the river dorms to take a report of a past sexual assault. The investigation is ongoing.

July 17: Headlights were reported stolen from a motor vehicle at the Peabody Terrace garage.

Since June 13, 25 bicycles, two LCD projectors, six pocketbooks, and eight wallets have been reported stolen. There have been six reports of harassment.
