Harvard to back walk for hunger, AIDS

For the 18th consecutive year, the Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs will contribute 50 cents per kilometer walked, or hour volunteered, by Harvard faculty, staff, students, and retirees participating in the upcoming Walk for Hunger or AIDS Walk, to be held May 2 and June 6, respectively. Square fair around the corner

Now in its 21st year, the May Fair will be held May 2 from noon to 6 p.m. A crowd of 100,000 is expected for a mixture of street theater and international marketplace to be held within a six-block area of Harvard Square. The fair will feature six main performance areas and more than 300 artisans and merchants selling handmade, vintage, and antique goods. The rain date is May 9.

‘CERtoon’ exhibit set to open

The FAS Computer Energy Reduction Program will present the top student-drawn conservation cartoons from the 2004 CERtoon Competition beginning Friday (April 23). Co-sponsored by the Harvard Green Campus Initiative, the CERtoon Competition raises awareness about energy conservation on campus. The first exhibition will run April 23 through May 5 in Loker Commons (lower level of Memorial Hall).
