Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending March 13. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

March 7: An officer took a report of a past sexual assault by an acquaintance at a graduate dorm. HUPD’s Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the incident.

March 8: Officers stopped an individual at Leverett House who did not belong in the building. The individual was placed under arrest for trespassing and breaking and entering. At Widener Library, an officer observed an individual acting suspiciously. Officer conducted a field interview and the individual was checked for warrants. The individual was placed under arrest for warrant service. A purse was reported stolen at 60 Garden St. A cell phone was reported stolen at Comstock Hall. Larceny was reported at Hemenway Gym. Officers were dispatched to Sherman Hall to take a report of harassment.

March 9: Food items were reported stolen at Rockefeller Hall. An officer was dispatched to the Museum of Comparative Zoology on a report of a water main break. University Operations Services secured the area. Various items were reported stolen from an office area at 164 Longwood Ave. Harassing phone calls were reported at the Kennedy School. A credit card was reported stolen at 124 Mt. Auburn St.

March 10: Vandalism was reported at the Cronkhite Graduate Center. A bicycle was reported stolen at the Countway Library lot. An officer was dispatched to the Malkin Athletic Center (MAC) to take a report of a disturbance. A check was reported stolen at the Kennedy School.

March 11: Windows were reported vandalized at Quincy House and 25 Travis St. A computer mouse was reported stolen at the Harvard Institute of Medicine. At HUPD headquarters, an officer took a report of a suspicious item of mail received. A personal digital assistant and iPod were reported stolen at Eliot House. Sneakers were reported stolen at the MAC.

March 12: An officer was dispatched to take a report of accidental damage to the barrier system at Soldiers Field Garage. Officers responded to a call from Massachusetts State Police for assistance with an accident on Soldiers Field Road. Officers remained on scene until state police arrived.

March 13: Officers were dispatched to 46 Linnaean Hall on a report of a theft in progress. A check of the area for suspects proved negative. A laptop and an electronic game were reported stolen. Officers were dispatched to 83 Brattle St. on a report from CPD of possible drug use. After investigating the complaint, officer concluded the report was unfounded. Officers were dispatched to Kirkland House Dining Hall on a report of a fight in the kitchen. Officers arrested one individual for aggravated assault.

Since March 7, three laptops have been reported stolen.
