The University and the square have a special feel this time of year. There’s the usual bustle of activity, but it’s a sultry, slow sort of busyness, slow enough for the student, resident, or tourist to stop and smell the flowers, look at the postcards, or listen to the street musician play ‘Summertime.’
The fountains at the Science Center present a cool haven for children who choose to splash their way through summer’s heat.
Changes pushed by government ‘unmoored from the law,’ Garber says. ‘The University will not surrender its independence or relinquish its constitutional rights.’
