New Public Policy Interns announced by Rappaport Institute
Each summer, up to 12 students in graduate-level programs at Boston University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), Suffolk University, and Brandeis University have the opportunity to experience working in the public sector through the Rappaport Public Policy Internship Program.
Interns work directly with officials from state and local public agencies in the Greater Boston area on policy research and management projects. Many choose to continue their summer work with related research at their university.
Through weekly seminars with experts in different policy fields, interns form a community of civic-minded peers and place their internship experiences into a broader context. Each intern is matched with a mentor outside of his or her host agency – another source of valuable advice and support during the internship and beyond. Interns also become part of a community of past, present, and future Rappaport Public Policy Fellows.
A $7,000 stipend from the Rappaport Institute allows students this unique opportunity to experience working in the public sector.
