</html><description>Can education help repair the frayed ties between the United States and the Arab world? With a regime toppling in Iraq, a panel of distinguished academics gathered in Harvard Hall last Saturday (April 12) afternoon to speak to the question and offer practical solutions for drawing the United States and the nations of the Middle East closer together through education. The panel, Educations Role in Promoting Understanding, was part of a two-day symposium: Promoting Understanding between the Arab World and the United States. The event was organized and sponsored by the Harvard Arab Alumni Association and the Harvard Society of Arab Students.
