Crimson edged in NCAA first round
In a fight to the finish, the Harvard women’s soccer team fell to Boston College (B.C.) in the opening round of the NCAA tournament, 1-0.
Needing one win to claim the Ancient Eight crown and an automatic NCAA playoff berth, freshman defender Richard Smith came up big for the Harvard men’s soccer team against Penn on Nov. 15, netting the game’s only goal in the 68th minute to power the Crimson to a 1-0 victory.
Crimson rally against Dartmouth to clinch share of Ivy title
Junior Katherine Sheeleigh scored two goals including the game-winning tally in the 87th minute on Oct. 31 to lead the Harvard women’s soccer team to a 2-1 win over Dartmouth. With the win, the Crimson earn at least a share of the Ivy League title and the automatic bid to the NCAA Championships.

In the 83rd edition of the Harvard-Dartmouth rivalry, No. 14 Harvard downed No. 21 Dartmouth, 2-1, in Ivy League men’s soccer action Saturday (Oct. 31).

The temperature may be falling, but the Harvard women’s soccer team is getting hot at just the right time. After an Oct. 6 victory in which the Crimson dominated Fairfield, 4-1, Harvard traveled to Ithica, N.Y., to defeat Cornell, 2-0.
