Students awarded for Japanese studies

Peter Bernard ’11 and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Ph.D. candidate in religion Ethan Bushelle have been awarded the Noma-Reischauer Prizes in Japanese Studies. The prizes are awarded to the best essays on Japan-related topics written by Harvard students and are sponsored by the Tazuko Ajiro Monane Memorial Fund and the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies. Brittany Fay ’12 and Hyun Ho Kim have been awarded the Tazuko Ajiro Monane Prizes, which are awarded each year to outstanding students of Japanese who have completed at least two years of Japanese language study at Harvard.  The prizes were awarded on Dec. 9.
