Fellowship lands Harvard pair in Israel over break

1 min read

Harvard students Beth Drucker ’13 and Daniel Brandt ’12, along with more than 100 other student leaders from more than 60 universities across the United States and Canada, traveled over the holiday break to Israel to participate in the Hasbara Fellowships Israel Activism Training Program.

Participants heard from historians, journalists, military personnel, politicians, and academics who offered a variety of perspectives on various topics. Students had the unique opportunity to go on strategic tours of Sderot, Hebron, and the Israeli borders with Syria and Lebanon.  This year, participants also met with an Israeli member of the Knesset, received top briefings at the Knesset and the Israeli Foreign Ministry, and visited Project Better Place in Tel Aviv to learn about Israel’s advances in alternative energy.
