Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending May 27. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor, and is available online at http://www.hupd.harvard.edu/.

May 22: Officers were dispatched to Austin Hall on a report of an individual inside the building who did not have authorization to be there. Officers located and arrested the individual for trespassing (the individual was also charged with resisting arrest). A laptop was reported stolen from Lamont Library.

May 23: Copper pipe fittings valued at $400 were reported stolen from the Warren Alpert Building. Four unattended Cisco antennas and a Cisco wireless AP unit were reported stolen from 9 Oxford St. A flatbed cart was reported stolen from the Linden Street art studios.

May 24: Five dome light covers were reported damaged at Cabot House. An officer was dispatched to Lionel Hall to take a report of harassment. A two-wheeled dolly was reported stolen from Currier House. An officer was dispatched to Adams House to take a report of vandalism. The reporting individual stated that someone had removed their front bicycle tire and bracket and placed it on the front lawn. A bicycle was reported stolen at William James Hall.

May 25: A backpack containing a textbook, a cassette, a DVD, and two picture frames was reported stolen from Currier House. An unattended backpack containing clothes and a red duffel bag containing a Bose stereo system were reported stolen at Leverett House.

May 26: A mountain bike was reported stolen at 40 Oxford St. An officer was dispatched to the Lewis International Law Center on a report of a fire. The officer arrived and observed 10 small fires in the mulch. The officer attempted to extinguish the fires with negative results. The Cambridge Fire Department then arrived on the scene and extinguished the fires. The officer reports that a lit cigarette and the windy weather started the fires. A backpack containing credit cards, clothing, ID cards, a passport, a pair of sneakers, a black wallet, and $50 in cash was reported stolen from Dunster House. A laptop was reported stolen from Holworthy Hall West.
