Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending Nov. 5. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor, and is available online athttp://www.hupd.harvard.edu/.

Nov. 1: Officers were dispatched to 240 Longwood Ave. on a report of a burning odor. Officers arrived and activated the fire alarm. The Boston Fire Department (BFD) arrived and determined that smoke was coming from an X-ray machine. BFD deemed the building safe for re-entry but isolated the room where the X-ray was located until further notice. Suspicious e-mails were reported received at 677 Huntington Ave. Two unattended credit cards were reported stolen at Hemenway Gym.

Nov. 3: An officer was dispatched to 60 Garden St. to take a report of vandalism. The reporting individual stated that several cords keeping a tent in place had been cut, causing one side of the tent to collapse. The officer conducted a check of the equipment inside the tent and reported that nothing had been disturbed.

Nov. 4: An officer was dispatched to Currier House to take a report of various items of clothing that were stolen.

Nov. 5: An officer was dispatched to Harvard Hall to take a report of an assault. The reporting individual stated that they were involved in a verbal altercation with two individuals near the bicycle rack. The reporting individual stated that they pushed one of the individuals. The two individuals then struck the reporting person, causing them to fall to the ground. The reporting individual stated that while they were on the ground they were kicked in the head. The two individuals then fled the area. After observing a laceration that was bleeding profusely on the back of the individual’s head, the officer transported the individual to a medical facility.
