President Summers highlights Katrina relief efforts
On Sept. 2, President Lawrence H. Summers released a letter to the Harvard community describing the University's responses to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina. In addition to making arrangements for displaced students to study at Harvard this fall and other school-associated initiatives, Summers announced that the University will match, up to $100, donations made to specified organizations by Harvard students, faculty, and staff. The matching program will continue through Oct. 15. To see President Summers' letter, visit http://president.harvard.edu/speeches/2005/0902_katrina.php.
