CfA to host double-feature schlockfest

As part of its ongoing series, the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) will host the decidedly offbeat "Sci-Fi Camp-o-Rama" on Feb.

7 at 6:30 p.m. in Phillips Auditorium, 60 Garden St. Rescheduled from this past December following one of the month's snowstorms, CfA will screen two of the worst sci-fi movies (or just movies?) ever made: Ed Wood's masterpiece "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and director Phil Tucker's one and only film, "The Robot Monster."

"These low-budget schlock-fests are guaranteed to entertain, not to mention educate as you learn how not to make a movie!" said Christine Pulliam of the CfA.

As always, there will be free popcorn and a door prize giveaway. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the first feature begins at 6:30 p.m. No reservations are necessary; however, seating is to the capacity of the auditorium. Parking is open to all.

For more information, call (617) 495-7461.
