Sports in brief

Peljto named player of the week

After averaging nearly 23 points and 8 rebounds per game to pace the Harvard women's basketball team (2-2), senior forward Hana Peljto has been named Ivy League Player of the Week for the eighth time in her career. Peljto cracked the 1,500-point barrier in the Crimson's win over Southern on Nov. 30. With 1,559 total points, she is 47 away from moving into second place at Harvard for total career points.

Grumet-Morris earns conference honors

Junior Dov Grumet-Morris has been named ECAC Goaltender of the Week for his impressive play between the pipes for the men's hockey team over the past three games. In a 2-1 week, Grumet-Morris had a season-high 34 saves against BU on Nov. 25, and earned a 3-0 shutout of St. Lawrence at the Bright Center on Nov. 28.
