Faculty Council notice for Jan. 8
At its seventh meeting of the year the Faculty Council discussed the implications for the Faculty of the 2001 USA PATRIOT Act and other recent and related government legislation and regulation. Deputy General Counsel Robert Iuliano and Professor Paul Martin, dean for Research and Information Technology in FAS were present for this discussion.
The Council also discussed the new Tenured Faculty Leave Policy, as announced by Dean Kirby in a letter to those affected of Dec. 9, 2002. Finally, the Council accepted textual changes clarifying the Faculty&'s Procedures for the Resolution of Sexual Harassment and Unprofessional Conduct Problems.
The Faculty Meeting set for Jan. 14 as been canceled. The Faculty Council next meets on Jan. 22.
