Police reports

Following are some the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending Saturday, Nov. 30. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

Nov. 24: Officer dispatched to Eliot House to ensure that a party was shut down. Approximately 1,000 students were being unruly. All HUPD officers were dispatched. Cambridge Police arrived to assist.

Nov. 25: Officers were dispatched to Harkness Commons to take a report of a forcible break-in and stolen merchandise. A threatening letter was reported at Eliot House. Stolen bicycles were reported at the Dental School and Gordon Hall. A report of a hit-and-run with property damage was filed at the BSCH Lot.

Nov. 26: Officers were dispatched on the report of a fight between two parties. One individual chased the other down Memorial Drive. Parties were located and the incident was turned over to Massachusetts State Police.

Nov. 27: Officer dispatched on a report of damage to an emergency phone at the Bunting Institute. Engineers responded to secure exposed wires. Vandalism was reported in the basement of Cabot House. A cell phone was reported lost at the Science Center Mall.

Nov. 29: An officer filed a report of a hate/bias incident in the Yard. A sweater was reported stolen from Haskins Hall.

Nov. 30: HUPD assisted Cambridge Fire Department (CFD) on a report of black smoke coming out of the roof of 12 Wendell St. CFD broke into the building and shut down the overheated boiler.
