Faculty council notice for jan. 23

At its eighth meeting of the year, the Faculty Council discussed with Dean Harry Lewis (computer science and Harvard College) proposed changes in the rules for Advanced Standing and Advanced Placement.

The council also received a report of the Ad Hoc Faculty Committee on the Administrative Board from the chair of the committee, Dean Peter Ellison (anthropology and the Graduate School). Robert Iuliano (Office of the General Counsel) was present for this discussion.

Finally, the council reviewed a draft of the Dean's Annual Letter to the Faculty. The letter will be docketed for discussion at the February Faculty Meeting.
