Under the auspices of the Alumni Association of Phillips Brooks House Association, nine students are interning this summer at not-for-profit organizations and one government agency. The host agency is paying each intern's salary, except for two students who are receiving work study funding.

Charisse Padilla '03, a Winthrop House resident and history and literature major, will help to develop advertising campaigns on children's issues at the Advertising Council in New York City.

Michael E. Rosado '03, a Dunster House economics major, is interning in Washington, D.C., at First Book, a not-for-profit that distributes books to children in low-income areas.

Will Self '02, a social studies concentrator residing in Kirkland House, is interning at Child Care Capital Investment Fund in Boston, where he will help develop a marketing strategy to grow the pipeline of not-for-profits eligible to receive funds from the agency.

Alex Soltren '03, an anthropology/ biology major from Dunster House, is interning at Westchester Residential Opportunities Inc. in White Plains, N.Y. His duties will include program development and assistance in the areas of senior housing and anti-discrimination.

Katie Wang '03, a psychology major living in Eliot House, is developing a library of training materials and will create training presentations at Justice Resource Institute, a Boston-based agency that assists youths referred by the courts.

Sandra Chang '02, an Eliot House history of science major, is interning at the Bar Association of San Francisco, answering the hotline and interviewing clients in the Bar Association's Racial Justice Project.

Eliza Dick '02, an Eliot House government major, has an office staff internship at the New York (City) Women's Foundation, an agency that funds programs to bring women and girls out of poverty.

Adrienne Minster '04, a history of science major, is interning at the Center for Impact Research in Chicago, where she will be involved in their Sweatshop Project.

Susan Grossman '04 is interning at the Baltimore City Health Department. She will assist in program development relating to health issues in disadvantaged neighborhoods.
