A massive crane was erected at the Mass. Ave. entrance to do the job. The crane, which is 180 feet tall and has a 300-foot boom, had to be built in the Yard. It arrived from Texas on 15 individual flatbed trailers and took five days to erect. Photo by Rose Lincoln
