Harvard-Radcliffe Noteables to hold Winter Concert
The Harvard-Radcliffe Noteables will hold their Winter Concert on Sunday, Dec. 6, in Lowell
Lecture Hall at 8 p.m. Admission is $5, and tickets are available at Sanders Theatre Box Office (45
Quincy St.; 496-2222) and BosTix at Harvard.
89th Annual Carol Services to be held at Memorial Church
The Memorial Church the 89th annual Carol Services on Sunday, Dec. 13 and Monday, Dec. 14. With
the Rev. Professor Peter J. Gomes presiding, the Harvard University Choir will sing traditional carol
arrangements for choir and congregation. The service takes place at 8 p.m. at the Memorial Church.
Parking is available at the Broadway Garage, on the corner of Felton Street and Broadway, Cambridge.
Childcare will also be available. The event is free and open to the public. Call 495-5508 for more
information.
Hauser Center seeks applicants for doctoral fellowships
The Hauser Center for Nonprofit Organizations, a University-wide initiative directed by, and
located within the Kennedy School of Government, will award up to five two-year fellowships to
outstanding candidates who are enrolled in any doctoral/advanced degree program at Harvard, and are
researching/writing a dissertation on a nonprofit sector topic.
The fellowships are intended to encourage scholars across a variety of disciplines and many
perspectives, to develop scholarship aimed at understanding and enhancing the contribution that the
nonprofit sector can make, to the definition and resolution of important public problems. The research
agenda of the Hauser Center currently encompasses issue such as: the role of the nonprofit sector in
developed and in developing economies; the management and evaluation of nonprofit organizations; and the
effects of different kinds of investing and of public policy on nonprofit performance.
For fellowships beginning in September 1999, applications and all supporting documents,
including recommendations and a research proposal, are due by Feb. 15, 1999. To receive an information
