Radcliffe Appoints New Coordinator for Graduate Consortium In Women's Studies

Laura Roskos, an educator and administrator at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, has been appointed the coordinator for the Graduate Consortium in Women's Studies at Radcliffe College.

An instructor in the Departments of English and Women's Studies since 1992, Roskos also served as an associate researcher in the university's Center for Urban Initiatives and Research. In addition to her teaching duties, she has experience in planning conferences and serving as a curriculum consultant to a 14-campus consortium in women's studies.

"Laura Roskos brings impressive credentials to her new position here at Radcliffe," said Tamar March, Dean of Radcliffe Educational Programs. "Her expertise and accomplishments in women's studies will be invaluable in advancing scholarship through the Graduate Consortium."

Roskos earned her undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She received the Peltz Award for Excellence from the Department of Philosophy while pursuing her master's degree.

Founded in 1992 at Radcliffe College, the Graduate Consortium in Women's Studies is a collaborative effort among seven academic institutions in the Boston area, including Boston College, Brandeis University, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Graduate School of Education, M.I.T., Northeastern University, and Tufts University. The consortium sponsors programs, panels, and interdisciplinary team-taught graduate courses that explore feminist thinking and scholarship.
