McGillis, of HLS, Dies at 51
Daniel B. McGillis, former deputy director of the Center for Criminal
Justice at the Law School in 1991-92, died April 23 of colon cancer. He
lived in Milton and was 51.
McGillis's knowledge of mediation and dispute resolution took him around
the world. He contributed to justice reform in Guatemala, Ireland, and Israel.
At the Law School he also served as director of the Dispute Resolution
Project from 1979 to 1989 and as senior research associate at the Center
for Criminal Justice from 1981 to 1992.
