Memorial Service

A memorial service will be held for David C. McClelland on Sunday, May 3, at 2 p.m. at the Friends Meeting House at 5 Longfellow Park.

Office hours for students to be held by Provost

Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours for students on a first-come, first-served basis in his Massachusetts Hall office on Wednesday, May 6, at 4 p.m.

Walk for Hunger sponsorship available

For the twelfth consecutive year, the Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs will contribute 50 cents for each mile walked and for each hour volunteered by Harvard faculty, staff, retirees, and students in Project Bread's Walk for Hunger.

Call 495-4955 to receive sponsorship and walking papers. The walk takes place Sunday, May 3, and is 20 miles long.

Concert to feature student compositions

A concert of music by current Harvard composition students will be presented by the Harvard Group for New Music on Sunday, May 10, at Paine Concert Hall.

The annual Thelma E. Goldberg Concert was established in 1982 by Ray A. Goldberg in honor of his wife. This year, the event will premiere the work of Aaron Einbond, Hubert Ho, Matthew Lima, Julie Rohwein, and Derek Smith.

A tribute to the late Ivan Tcherepnin, director of the Electronic Music Studio, will be performed by student and professional musicians.

The concert will be at 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

Walking tour of Arboretum to be offered

A free walking tour of the Harvard-affiliated Arnold Arboretum will feature "Ideas Behind the Design" on Sunday, May 3, from 1 to 3 p.m. The two-hour tour will examine the marriage of art and science at the Arboretum.

To participate, meet at the Hunnewell Building, Route 203, Jamaica Plain. The event is sponsored by the Frederick Law Olmsted National Historic Site.
