Mortgage assistance to be offered by lender program

Harvard University is offering mortgage assistance through its Preferred Mortgage Lender Program. A University committee has selected two new preferred mortgage lenders for employees of Harvard University -- PNC Bank Corp. (PNC) and North American Mortgage Corp. (NAMC). These firms were chosen because of their strong commitment to customer service and their willingness to offer reduced closing costs and a discount of one-quarter of 1 percent on points to Harvard's employees.

For more information, employees may contact the vendors directly. Harvard's contacts at the newly selected vendors are: Daniel Heffernan, PNC, 443-6423 and James Loughery, NAMC, at (978) 762-9200. The program will be monitored internally by Kathleen MacDonald, manager of the Mortgage and Educational Loan Office, who may be contacted at 495-8858.
