Modern Greek Literature Colloquium To Take Place
"Inventing Greece" is the topic of the G.P. Savidis Memorial Colloquium on Modern Greek Literature Today: Across Europe and Beyond to be given at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, in Boylston Auditorium by Peter A. Bien, professor of English and comparative literature emeritus at Dartmouth College. A reception will follow in the parlor of the Barker Center, 12 Quincy St. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15, a seminar will take place at Boylston Auditorium, including talks by Amanda Michalopoulou, Dimitris Daskalopoulos, Petros Tatsopoulos, and Eri Stavropoulou (University of Athens). From 2 to 5 p.m., a second seminar will follow, including talks by Yiorgos Kalogeras (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), Theodosis Nikolaou, Gregory Jusdanis (Ohio State University), and Jenny Mastoraki. The colloquium is free and open to the public.
