Helping children do better in school is topic of talk

A talk on "Motivating Your Children to do their Best in School" will outline strategies parents can use at home to foster their children's engagement in the learning process will be held from noon to 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at the Countway Library's Minot Room, 10 Shattuck St., Boston. The speaker will be Janine Bempechat, assistant professor of education at the Graduate School of Education. Participants are invited to bring their lunch. Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours for students at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, in his Massachusetts Hall office. Office hours are held on a first-come, first-served basis.
