Provost, President Wilson to hold office hours for students

Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours for students at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, in his Massachusetts Hall office.

President Linda S. Wilson will hold office hours for students at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Fay House.

Jazz festival, competition to be held by Harvard Club

A Festival for Jazz Combos will be sponsored by the Harvard Club of Boston on Feb. 27, 1998. Cash prizes will be awarded, and the musical groups will be evaluated by a noted local jazz artist. Any undergraduate Harvard student groups are eligible.

Copies of faculty, staff directory available

The 1997-98 Directory of Faculty, Professional and Administrative Staff will be mailed directly to teaching faculty and all administrative and professional staff, as well as all emeriti of the University starting in late November. If you do not fall under any of the above categories, and need a copy, please send a written request to Information Management Services, Holyoke Center 639, Attn: Directory Order by mail or fax (495-0767). The following information is required: name, University ID number, office address and telephone extension. Requests cannot be accepted without this information. Changes of address, name, or title should be directed to the Payroll Office, 359 Holyoke Center. Name, University ID number, and both the old and new address must be provided.

Career Week for students to be held next week

Career Week 1997 will be held Oct. 14-17, including three days of panels on entrepreneurship, business, public service, and study abroad. All undergraduates are invited to attend. The week concludes with Harvard's annual Career Forum in the Gordon Track and Tennis Center, where hundreds of companies will be on hand to answer questions about the job opportunities available at their organizations. Career Week is cosponsored by Harvard Student Agencies (HSA) and the Office of Career Services (OCS). Please see HSA's Web site at http://hsa.net for more information and a detailed schedule.
