Student hours to be held by Presidents, Provost

President Neil L. Rudenstine, President Linda S. Wilson, and Provost Harvey Fineberg will hold office hours for students this academic year. Hours are held on a first-come, first-served basis. Rudenstine and Fineberg will hold hours in their Massachusetts Hall offices; President Wilson will hold office hours at Fay House.

The schedule for 1997-98 is as follows:

Swim test to be held for those planning river activities

A 100-yard swim test is required for any student or affiliate who plans to pursue a river activity (i.e., rowing or sailing). To take the test, report to the Malkin Athletic Center Pool (Holyoke Street) between noon and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, or between noon and 3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12. Bring a Harvard I.D., swimsuit, swim cap, towel, and pen.

AIDS awareness and education project ideas sought

The Harvard University Arts Committee on AIDS is seeking ideas for art exhibits, musical performances, theatrical productions, film and video screenings, or any creative presentations that incorporate AIDS awareness and education.

Students, faculty, and staff are welcome to volunteer their time to developing projects in recognition of World AIDS Day (Dec. 1) and Harvard AIDS Awareness Week, Dec. 1-7.

A meeting will be held for those who are interested at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the Office for the Arts, 74 Mt. Auburn St.; 495-8676.
