Thomas A. Hardiman, custodian at the Peabody Museum who retired in June 1971, died Dec. 11, 1996. His Harvard service began in February 1954.

Wilson H. Pile, assistant director of the Harvard Law School Fund from 1964 until his retirement in 1987, died March 3.

John F. Scannell, former facilities superintendent at the

Divinity School who retired in 1995, died Jan. 17. He was facilities superintendent from 1984 to 1995.

Arthur Travers, general services employee in College Dining, died Nov. 8, 1996. His Harvard service began in September 1969.
