President Rudenstine to hold office hours for students

President Neil L. Rudenstine will hold office hours for students from 4 to 5 p.m. (except as noted) on Oct. 10, Nov. 5, Dec. 9 (4:30-5:30 p.m.), Jan. 10, Feb. 5, March 4, April 1, and May 7.

Office hours are held in Massachusetts Hall on a first-come, first-served basis. The hours are open to all students at the University.

Volunteers sought to read to the blind

Volunteer readers for the blind are needed at Lamont Library. The hours are flexible and training is provided. Please leave a message at 495-3397.

Dining Services receives awards for menu excellence

Harvard Dining Services received three Loyal E. Horton Dining awards for menu excellence at the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) conference in Albuquerque, N.M.

Loker Commons dominated the Cash Sales-Standard Menu category, taking first place among larger college and universities as well as the grand prize for the entire category. Residential Dining won third place in the Standard Menu Category.

Earlier this year Harvard Dining Services won the Visionary Award and the prestigious Ivy Award. Both awards are among the highest recognition received in the food service industry.

Law and technology journal seeks submissions

The Harvard Journal of Law & Technology examines issues related to the interstices of science and technology with law and society. Articles are published by professors, practitioners, and politicians on varied topics, including biotechnology, computers, medical technologies, intellectual property, and telecommunications.

The journal is currently seeking submissions for its winter publication. Deadline for submission is Oct. 1.
