Sears Prize Awarded to Four Law Students
Harvard Law School has awarded the Joshua Montgomery Sears, Jr. Prize to four students for academic achievement. Four prizes are awarded annually, one to each of the two students receiving the highest averages in the work of the first year, and one to each of the two students receiving the highest averages in the work of the second year. Class of 1998 members Erin H. Glenn and Joel D. Kaplan received the prizes for work in the first year. Class of 1997 members Lisa A. Grow and Peter J. Smith received the prizes for work in the second year. The prize was established in 1912 by Sarah C. Sears in memory of her son, Joshua Montgomery Sears, Jr., Class of 1904.
