Radcliffe child care has openings for toddlers

The Radcliffe Child Care Center currently has fall openings in its 3- and 4-year-old program. If you would like to set up an enrollment visit, please contact Darrelle at 495-3504.

Auto insurance discounts available

Faculty members, staff, and members of Harvard's unions are eligible for a 10 percent discount on car insurance with Harvard's Volume Discount Program. This discounted insurance is underwritten by Met P&C and offered through Seabury & Smith Insurance. Premiums may be paid through payroll deduction, with no interest, service fee, or large down payment.

Discounted homeowners and other personal insurance are also available through this program.

Summer chorus, orchestra to hold auditions

The Harvard Summer Chorus will hold auditions for its 1996 season on June 23 and 24. Under the direction of Jeffrey Bernstein, the chorus is newly formed each summer.

Open to the community, auditions will take place in the Music Building on Sunday, June 23, 2-5 p.m. and 7-9:30 p.m. in Rooms 1 and 2, and on Monday, June 24, 2-4:45 p.m. in Rooms G19 and G20, and 7-8 p.m. in Rooms 1 and 2.

Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 25 through Aug. 1 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. in Lowell Hall.

A public performance is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 2, at 8 p.m.

The program will include Brahms's Requiem. The indoor rehearsal and event sites are handicapped-accessible. For information, call 495-0311.

The Harvard Summer Orchestra will hold auditions from June 25 through 27, 5-9 p.m., in the Music Building, Rooms 1 and 2. Bring one prepared piece and be ready to do some sight-reading. A public performance is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9, at 8 p.m. The program will include Haydn's Symphony No. 99. Rehearsals will be held on Monday evenings. For information, call 495-0311.

The Summer School Pops Band is open without audition to all Boston-area wind and percussion instrumentalists. Rehearsals will be held on Wednesday evenings. A public performance will be held on July 31 at 4 p.m. in Harvard Yard and Aug. 4 in Hanover, Mass. For information, call 496-2263.
